Three additional designs are eligible for the LEGO Ideas Review

As the weather continues to deteriorate, the LEGO Ideas platform comes back to life this time of year. In the last week from October 30 to November 5, three concepts managed to collect the necessary 10,000 fan votes and thus qualified for the much-requested assessment phase. A colorful group from pop music, laboratories and nature have been chosen as candidates 15 to 17 for the third review phase in 2023 and let's take a closer look!

Harry Styles Love on Tour

The set is a replica of the “Harry Styles Love on Tour 2023” stage with the accompanying band members. Members include singer Harry Styles, Madi Diaz (guitar, vocals), Pauli Lovejoy (percussion/RMD), Sarah Jones (drums/vocals), Mitch Rowland (guitar) and Lloyd Wakefield (photographer). For the fan designer, Harry Styles and band are a great role model. The set is intended to honor Harry and his band, who have created a safe and welcoming place for themselves and their fans where people can be who they want to be without prejudice.

A number of pop music sets have already inspired the community for LEGO Ideas. Taylor Swift was especially convincing. But Harry Styles has already appeared in two versions: Harry's House and One Direction are both currently awaiting a review. However, I don't see much of a chance for the set. Although 21339 BTS Dynamite made it as a set, I doubt just one stage including Harry & Band would be an innovative Ideas set.

LEGO Microscope

The LEGO Microscope looks exactly like the original and has various special functions. The microscopic lens consists of a 2 x 2 inverted circular tile as the microscopic lens. You can simply place the slider in the upper part and look through the eyepiece. The magnification must be at least 0.25 iol. There is a lift that uses a worm gear mechanism and can be raised and lowered using the side button. It also features a work light that uses a battery box with power function and a light cable. This can also be toggled on and off with the side button, as the battery compartment button is directly underneath.

Even though there are already some designs of microscopes circulating on LEGO Ideas, the model of the successful Youtuber Brick Science (Riley) was the first to make it. In his show he built the model in just a few hours and received plenty of attention. Even though LEGO has already released a few research sets, they still don't include a microscope. And since it even has some good features, I could definitely imagine that it could be of interest to LEGO.

Sequoia Tree Trail

Giant sequoias are the largest and oldest trees in the world. They can grow up to 100 meters high, have trunks up to 12 meters wide and live for more than 3,000 years. The home of the giant sequoia is located on the western slopes of California's Sierra Nevada. In Western and Central Europe it has been cultivated as a largely winter-hardy park tree since the mid-19th century.

The giant sequoia ecosystem is home to many fascinating plants and animals, such as the Steller's jay and the banana slug. The LEGO set consists of two giant redwood trees with a park visitor center and a cross-section of a redwood tree trunk. There are six minifigures: two rangers and four visitors, as well as a variety of animals and plants.
