In the movie In 1983 's Star Wars : Return of the Jedi ™, Luke Skywalker barely survived his encounter with the rancor when the gangster Jabba the Hutt announced that he would be thrown into the Sarlacc Pit along with Han Solo and Chewbacca as a reward.

The striking, luxurious sailing ship that Jabba used to transport his prisoners to the Sand Monster is the latest LEGO® Star Wars ™ Ultimate Collector Series (UCS) building set.

Reenact the battle above the Sarlacc pit

The battle above the Sarlacc is a crucial battle in Star Wars : Return of the Jedi , where several characters fall into the pit and are swallowed by the terrifying monster beneath the sand.

Now you can relive the famous scenes that unfolded moments before with this impressive 3,942-piece model that measures over 30” (77cm) long. It features adjustable fabric sails, a removable upper deck and fold-down sides that provide access to the detailed interior.

Inside you'll find a cockpit, prison cell, armory and an entertainment area with Jabba's bed.

Made to be displayed, this set includes a specially designed display stand with space for the Jabba the Hutt LEGO figure, an information plaque and an anniversary brick celebrating 25 years of LEGO Star Wars .

Jabba's dangerous gang of villains

It's clear from the start that Jabba the Hutt is a hideous character, so it should come as no surprise that there's a motley crew inhabiting his palace and sail barge.

We have for the LEGO Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge set also features a colorful collection of 11 minifigures, including Jabba the Hutt, Bib Fortuna, Salacious Crumb, Max Rebo, Kithaba, Vizam, Wooof and a Gamorrean Guard.

But of course it's not all bad guys, so the set also includes figures of Princess Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2 who carries a bar table, just like in Star Wars : Return of the Jedi .

A long-awaited addition sails into the UCS series

Over the past 25 years, some of the most notable icons of the Star Wars universe transformed into the largest and most detailed UCS sets we've ever designed.

By the way, did you know that this isn't the first time a LEGO set of this vehicle has been made? In 2007, a 781-piece set was released, and in 2013, a slightly larger 850-piece set was released, featuring minifigures including Jabba the Hutt, R2-D2, and Princess Leia.

In 2017 we also have the LEGO Star Wars Desert Skiff Escape was released, although this set focused on the smaller vehicle associated with the sailing ship and included minifigures of Han Solo, Boba Fett and Chewbacca.
